Removal And Installation Of Hydraulic Oil Cooler Assembly Of Hitachi Excavator

May 13, 2021

1. Hitachi excavator disassembly

Lower the working device to the ground, turn off the engine, slowly loosen the hydraulic oil tank cap to reduce the internal pressure, and

The lock lever is placed in the locked position.

① Rotate the upper turning platform 90°.

② Remove the lower cover of the fuel tank.

③ Open the engine hood upward.

④ Remove the drain plug of the hydraulic oil cooler to drain the hydraulic oil. Loosen the upper (oil return) hose of the hydraulic oil tank and introduce air into the oil tank.

The hydraulic oil cooler has a volume of about 7L.

⑤ Move the cover.

⑥ Open the left side cover.

⑦ Disconnect the discharge hose of the control valve to stop the flow of oil.

⑧ Disconnect the hose of the water tank.

2. Installation

Install components in the reverse order of disassembly.

① Confirm that the heat-insulating sealing material (sponge) of the outer turning part of the radiator is not damaged. If the heat-insulating sealing material (sponge) is damaged, it needs to be replaced.

② From the bottom of the cylinder side, confirm that the convex surface of the radiator is properly placed on the concave surface.

③ Replenish hydraulic oil in the hydraulic oil tank. Add the hydraulic pressure to the specified oil level through the oil filling port. Start the engine, allow the oil to circulate in the hydraulic system, and then check the oil level.
