The Hydraulic Excavator Saves The Fuel Secret Book, One Month Saves Several Thousand To Depend On It Completely!

Jul 04, 2018

Oil saving is one of the most important things for every excavator user, especially the excavator owner, which is directly related to the benefit of the boss. There are two main ways to save oil, one is car, one is man.

Then, what are the ways to improve fuel efficiency through operation?

1. Prevent unnecessary idling and hydraulic first class

1. prevent unnecessary idling

The idle speed is necessary for 5 minutes after the engine starts and stops. The long idle speed is only a waste of fuel. The excavator is also using the pump to carry out the hydraulic oil cycle at idle speed. For example, the 20 tonnage excavator, for example, consumes about 0.8 liters of fuel per hour. In particular, a Komatsu PC200 excavator is 8 small per day. At the time, there are 1 hours at idle speed.

One month savings: 0.8 liters of /h, day, 25 days = 20 litres

Savings in one year: 20 litres / month * 12 months = 240 litres

Therefore, try not to idle while waiting for the machine and rest. Please turn off the engine.

2. prevent hydraulic overflow

First, let me explain the "hydraulic overflow": when the pressure of the hydraulic oil reaches the pressure set by the overflow valve, the overflow valve opens and the hydraulic oil flows back to the tank. When the hydraulic overflow occurs, it is not only unable to complete the operation, but also the fuel consumption is greater.

As an example of a 20 ton hydraulic excavator, the hydraulic overflow is 28L/h. Specifically, if the Komatsu PC200 excavator is working for 8 hours a day, there are 1 hours of hydraulic overflow:

Then, save in one month: 28 litres /h days, 25 days = 700 liters.

Savings in one year: 700 litres / month * 12 months = 8400 litres

Therefore, try not to do idle running in the waiting machine and rest, please close the engine! When the load is increased, do not force the operation to cause the overflow to reduce the load and work smoothly.

Two. Excavate the loading operation

1. engine non maximum throttle operation

First, let's look at a comparison of the same excavator under the same working conditions.

We can see that the same excavating operation, when the engine speed drops, is comparable to that of the engine's maximum throttle.

Oil consumption decreases and fuel efficiency increases.

To make it easier for you to get a more intuitive understanding, a 20 ton hydraulic excavator is still being used as an example (conditions: the same ground, 90 degrees of turn, 5 times, soil: soil sand). We look at the changes in the fuel data in the province.

Through the comparison, it can be seen that by reducing the throttle 10%, the fuel consumption decreased by 12%, the volume of operation only decreased by 7%, but the fuel efficiency increased by 4%., so that the engine speed down some operation in the operation, it was helpful to save fuel.

2. upper part mining

Experience tells us that digging into soil from low position, long period of time, large moving amount of arms and more fuel consumption, and using the upper and lower mining, can use potential energy, reduce the resistance of mining, shorten the period of time, and improve the efficiency of fuel.

Under the data comparison, the oil saving effect in the upper and lower parts of the mining is explained, and the 20 ton hydraulic excavator is taken as an example (conditions: the low position of the truck, the 90 degree rotation, the 4 bucket, the soil: soil sand).

It can be seen that the oil consumption per unit time is less, the cycle time is faster than 12%, the amount of operation within a unit time is 6%, and the fuel efficiency is improved by 8%..

Therefore, it is suggested that when excavating, the location is higher and the fuel efficiency is very simple.

3. minimum angle of rotation operation

When the truck is loaded, if the rotation angle is large, the load is moved much, the cycle time is increased, the cycle time of the loading is less, the amount of operation within the unit time increases and the fuel efficiency is increased.

The following data comparison is used to verify the effect of rotary angle on fuel efficiency, with a 20 ton hydraulic excavator as an example (conditions: low position of a truck, 90 degrees of rotation, 4 hopper, soil: soil sand).

It can be seen that when the turning angle is reduced from 90 degrees to 30 degrees, the operation time is reduced by 4%. Although the fuel consumption is increased by 1%, the operation volume is increased by 6%, and the fuel efficiency is increased by 3%.

So, please put the truck near the excavator, which will surprise you!

Three. Non maximum throttle of engine

The engine speed is high, the speed of walking fast, high rotation part, fuel consumption is more. When the engine speed is low, the fuel efficiency is better when walking than high speed.

Based on the data comparison, the influence of fuel throttle on the fuel efficiency is taken as an example with the 20 ton hydraulic excavator (condition: 38.5m flat road).

It can be seen that by lowering the throttle 10%, the average speed decreased by 19%, while the fuel consumption dropped by 25%, and the fuel efficiency increased by 8%..

Therefore, walking with low engine speed and high speed can save fuel consumption.
