Komatsu, in Milwaukee, Germany, announced today that it had reached an agreement to acquire GHH Group GmbH (GHH), a manufacturer of underground mining, tunnel and special civil engineering equipment headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
GHH, founded in the 1960s, is currently a part of the German-funded Schmidt Kranz Group. It provides a wide range of equipment, focusing on loaders (LHDs) and articulated dump trucks for medium-large scale mining, narrow veins and low-profile markets. The company also provides after-sales parts and service support for customers throughout the entire life of each machine.
