Do Loaders Have A Break-in Period? What Should You Pay Attention To During The Break-in Period?

Nov 05, 2025

Loaders do indeed have a break-in period during initial use. This is because the various components of the machine need to work together, adapt, and break in to reach a suitable working condition. The break-in period generally lasts from tens to hundreds of hours, with the exact time varying depending on the loader model and manufacturer.

During the break-in period, the following points should be paid special attention to:

1. Avoid overloading: During the break-in period, avoid overloading as much as possible, and avoid prolonged high-speed operation or heavy-load operation to reduce wear and tear on the engine and other components.

2. Control working time: Avoid continuous operation for extended periods. Appropriately control working time to allow the machine sufficient time to cool down and rest.

3. Pay attention to lubrication and maintenance: During the break-in period, strengthen the lubrication and maintenance of the machine, regularly change the engine oil and filter, and ensure the normal operation of the lubrication system.

4. Avoid frequent starts and stops: Try to avoid frequent starts and stops, as the machine is in a high-wear state during startup, and frequent starts and stops can easily increase wear.

5. Pay attention to observation and inspection: During the break-in period, closely observe the machine's operation and pay attention to any abnormal noise, vibration, or oil leakage. Check and deal with these issues promptly.
