Introducing The Usage Of Rotary Drilling Rigs

Nov 25, 2025

The transmission mechanism drives the drill bit in a rotary motion while simultaneously performing a reciprocating hammering motion perpendicular to the drill head. The rotary drilling rig uses a piston driven by the transmission mechanism to reciprocate and compress air within a cylinder. The periodic changes in air pressure within the cylinder drive the hammer within the cylinder to repeatedly strike the top of the brick.

After starting the machine, it must first be run under no-load to check and confirm the machine's linkage flexibility. During operation, force should be applied smoothly, avoiding excessive force. When operating, hold the rotary drilling rig handle firmly. When drilling, first place the drill bit against the working surface, then start the drill, applying moderate force to avoid shaking. If the speed drops sharply, reduce the force to prevent motor overload. Never use a wooden lever to apply pressure.

When drilling, avoid reinforcing steel bars in the concrete. The rotary drilling rig operates on a 40% intermittent work schedule and should not be used continuously for extended periods. When working with a hole diameter > 25mm, a stable working platform with guardrails should be provided.

Overloading is strictly prohibited. During operation, pay attention to sound and temperature rise. If any abnormalities are found, stop the machine immediately for inspection. If the temperature rise of the rotary drilling rig exceeds 60°C during prolonged operation, the machine must be stopped immediately and allowed to cool naturally before resuming operation. Never leave the machine unattended while it is rotating. During operation, never touch the rotary drilling rig with your hands. If any dulling, damage, or other abnormalities are found, stop the machine immediately for repair or replacement before continuing operation.

Drilling Diameter (m): CZ-22 CZ-30 Drilling Depth (m): 0.6-1.3 Impact Frequency (m): 300-500 Lifting Force (KN): 40-50-40-50 Main Unit Weight (t): 20-30 Rig Weight (t): 7.51-3.67 Overall Dimensions: 1.3-2.5.

Rotary drilling rigs can adapt to various geological conditions, especially drilling through gravel layers. Impact drilling rigs have a greater adaptability than other types of drilling rigs. When using rotary drilling to create a hole, a dense layer of soil forms around the hole wall after the hole is formed. This layer helps stabilize the hole wall and improve the bearing capacity of the pile foundation.
