The first trick to identify the diesel engine is as follows:
Starting performance of diesel engine
The successful start of a diesel engine is ideal, but sometimes it is not always smooth after the first start. At this time, it does not indicate that its starting performance is bad. First, we should check whether the preparatory work is good before starting the diesel engine. For example, whether to add enough diesel oil in the tank, and whether the appropriate amount of oil is added to the oil pan. If all the preparatory work is done well and the starting method is correct, a diesel engine with good performance should start operation within three times, otherwise, it indicates that the starting performance is bad.
Second ways to identify the good or bad of the diesel engine:
After the empty car starts running, it will run for about half an hour at low speed or medium speed empty car. Then stop and open the side cover of the cylinder block to feel the normal temperature of bearings and bushes below 80 degrees (not hot). Only when all parts of the machine are in normal condition, can they continue to operate at high speed. At the same time, it should be observed that the oil pressure is normal, the reading of the indicator on the watch table of the oil pressure gauge, the diesel engine without the oil pressure gauge, such as the S195 type diesel engine, should float in time after the engine is started. If it is not floating, the oil pressure is low. In addition, we should also observe whether the cooling system is good, whether the operation is stable, whether there is a knocking abnormal sound. Normally, diesel engines should only have a monotonic sound, which is caused by the explosion of gas in the cylinder. If there are other noises, it indicates that there is a fault in the diesel engine.
The third way to identify the good or bad of the diesel engine:
When the diesel engine with load is idle for a period of time, the speed and load are gradually increased. The dynamometer is used to determine whether the power is up to the requirement. If some units do not have a dynamometer and can not measure the power of the diesel engine, it can be easily judged by the instructions attached to the use of the diesel engine. This is because the specifications are often described in accordance with the power output from the diesel engine, and the equipment (such as pumps, generators, agricultural machinery or other engineering machinery, etc.) should be matched. Therefore, as long as the diesel engine is equipped with the equipment at the rated speed, the speed is not too high or low, it can also approximate the required power requirements of the diesel engine. It should be noted that the machine should operate continuously for 2 to 3h, and the power is not changed until it is recognized. When carrying the load, check whether the temperature of the coolant and the oil pressure are normal. Try again if the governor is flexible. The method is to remove the equipment and see if it can speed up the rated speed quickly. It should generally be within 15s. It also depends on how much the maximum speed is when the speed rises. In general, the maximum speed should be 110% of rated speed, which can be measured by tachometer. If the above requirements are met, the quality of the tested diesel engine can be considered good.
