October forklift sales figures have been released. Major manufacturers included in the China Construction Machinery Association's statistics sold a total of 114,250 forklifts of various types in October, marking the ninth consecutive month with sales exceeding 10,000 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 15.9%. This also marks the sixth consecutive month of positive growth exceeding 10% in forklift sales, and the 29th positive growth in the past 31 months.
From January to October this year, cumulative forklift sales reached 1,220,656 units, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%; this figure has already surpassed the total annual sales of all years except last year.
Export performance is even more phenomenal!
In October, forklift exports reached 43,862 units, a year-on-year increase of 15.4%. This sales figure significantly surpasses the historical October sales record and marks the 20th consecutive month of breaking the monthly sales record.
Since July 2023, forklift exports have achieved double-digit year-on-year growth in 26 out of 28 months. The only two months that failed to meet this target were February 2024 and January of this year, both affected by the Spring Festival holiday.
So far this year, cumulative forklift exports have reached 452,893 units, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%, exceeding the total annual export volume of all years except last year.
Specifically, let's look at the export situation.
Customs data shows that in October, my country exported 61,183 electric forklifts (commodity code 84271090), totaling 1.98 billion yuan.
Among them, exports to Brazil reached 147 million yuan, ranking first; exports to Russia and Germany were 127 million yuan and 118 million yuan respectively, ranking second and third. Following were the Netherlands, Thailand, the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. In terms of quantity, Germany led with 6,508 units exported, followed by the US, Belgium, and Russia with over 4,000 units each, Brazil with over 3,000 units, and Turkey and Poland with over 2,000 units each. A total of 19 countries/regions exported over 1,000 units, and 56 countries exported over 100 units.
Fuel-powered forklifts (commodity code 84272090) were exported in October, totaling 14,789 units, with a total value of 1.948 billion yuan.
In terms of value, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and the UAE exported over 100 million yuan each, at 205 million yuan, 179 million yuan, 150 million yuan, and 114 million yuan respectively; followed by Australia, India, Indonesia, and the Netherlands, with export values ??exceeding 60 million yuan.
In terms of quantity, Brazil led with 1,645 units exported, the only country to export over 1,000 units; followed by Thailand, Russia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Australia, with over 500 units exported each; a total of 32 countries/regions exported over 100 units.
Finally, let's briefly look at the domestic forklift sales situation. In October, domestic forklift sales reached 70,388 units, a year-on-year increase of 16.2%; from January to October, cumulative sales reached 767,763 units, a year-on-year increase of 13.4%. It's worth noting that the domestic forklift market has seen strong demand in the past five months, with an average monthly growth rate exceeding 20%.
With domestic demand steadily rising and overseas markets flourishing, the high growth momentum of the forklift industry is expected to continue, and its market share and competitiveness in the global market will undoubtedly further increase in the future!
