The forklift is equipped with an adjustable steering column. This forklift safety function allows the operator to adjust the steering column according to his preferences to achieve comfortable operation. Some forklifts are equipped with electronic direction control, which allows easy and smooth switching between forward and backward. The driver can reach 4.0 km / h at any speed without removing his hand from the steering wheel. Others are equipped with hydrostatic assisted steering device through small diameter steering wheel to ensure accurate and rapid response with very little force.
