The Lubrication Principle Of The Turbocharger Of The Komatsu Excavator

1 when the turbocharger is at high speed, the speed of the turbocharger is about 100 thousand to 120 thousand revolutions per minute, the surface temperature will reach 110 degrees centigrade, and the internal temperature will reach about 300. At such high speed and temperature, it is difficult to use ordinary rubber oil seal to seal and lubricate it. Therefore, the turbocharger uses the intake air. Balance the exhaust pressure, seal with floating oil seals and use floating bearings to protect the oil film to ensure lubrication. This is why we usually guide the driver to prohibit low idle speed and high idle speed for more than 20 minutes. If it is the former, the exhaust pressure will be lower than the intake pressure. The turbocharger leaks oil from the turbine (exhaust) end. If it is the latter, the intake pressure will be lower than the exhaust pressure. It will cause oil leakage from the impeller (intake) end. Once oil leakage occurs, the turbocharger will be seriously damaged in a short time at such high temperature and speed.


2 if an engine is running at a low idle speed for a long time, the oil will leak out of the turbocharger's (exhaust) side, and the oil will leak out of the (intake) side if it is idle for a long time.
