CAT 31lDLRR excavator works normally on site in the morning, but in the afternoon when it starts up, the excavator suddenly appears to be powerless to walk, which causes the excavator to not work properly. Following is a summary of the common causes of CAT 311DLRR excavator walking weakness based on years of maintenance and repair experience of CAT excavator by Merit Excavator Maintenance Plant:
1. Faults outside the hydraulic system cause insufficient engine power and unstable speed. Manual control mechanism is loose, stuck or not in place; Voltage and current are not normal.
2. Oil quantity and quality of excavator hydraulic oil tank and oil filter pollution.
Corresponding troubleshooting methods:
1Check for mechanical faults in the components connecting the excavator engine to the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor to the drive wheel.
2. Check whether the bypass valve installed on the front drive motor is in the passage state. If so, the high and low pressure oil cavities will be connected.
3. Check the brake system. Whether the brake can disengage when the engine is working properly and the solenoid valve is energized. If not, check for mechanical failure. If not, use dragging method to release the brake (turn the handle of manual pump counterclockwise). Then do the following check.
4. Check high pressure and oil supply pressure of main circuit of walking hydraulic system.

Checking the high pressure and filling pressure of the main circuit of the walking hydraulic system requires the following:
1 If the refill pressure is below the specified value, place the travel lever in the middle and adjust the refill pump relief valve.
2 If the pressure can not reach normal value or the pressure gauge reading has not changed, it can be judged that the relief valve or the refill pump is faulty.
3. When the machine does not run, the oil-filling pressure is normal, so the oil-filling pressure will drop a lot when the machine is running. If the pressure is low, it means that the shuttle valve and low-pressure relief valve of the motor are faulty. When the filling pressure is higher than the specified value, the pressure of the relief valve can be lowered. If not, the relief valve is faulty.
4 If the high pressure is low, the fault may be caused by the hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor, multi-function valve block (including the high pressure relief valve), or the high pressure relief valve is faulty.
