Forklift gantry deformation can be eliminated by correction method. When the bending and twisting deformation is small, it is allowed to correct by the cold correction method with static load. When the bending and twisting deformation is too large, it is not easy to correct by cold pressing, it can be corrected by heating, and the heating area should be reduced as much as possible.

Repair of cracks in forklift gantry: If cracks are found during inspection, repairs should be carried out.
1) Before repairing, correct the mast of the forklift to maintain the inherent straightness of the mast.
2) Polish the cracks until the metallic luster is exposed, and then carefully check to determine the crack boundary, and drill ¢5-¢8mm limit stop holes at the limit extending 10mm.
3) Grind the groove of the weld bead by grinding wheel at the crack.
4) When welding, it is best to use DC reverse polarity arc welding. The arc should be as short as possible, the electrode diameter is 4mm, and the current is about 210-240a. When welding, the electrode should be inclined to the direction of movement 20°-30°. Filling and welding work starts from drilling through holes to the other end of the crack, and welding repair is also performed on the reverse side. The height of the weld should not exceed 1-2 mm from the plane of the substrate. The ambient temperature during welding should be above 0℃.
