The role of the seal is to close the gap between the oil spill of the tank and prevent dust, sand and other dirt from intruding into the interior of the tank, but if installed or used improperly, it will easily cause oil leakage and affect the normal operation of the machine Cause burnout of bearings, damage to gears, twisting of drive shafts or other serious failures.

 1. Precautions for installation of skeleton self-tightening rubber oil seal:


 (1) Before installing the oil seal, check whether the surface of the journal is too rough and whether there are any scratches, especially if there are long scratches along the axial direction. If the surface of the journal is too rough, it is easy to damage the oil seal or accelerate the wear of the lip 1: 3 and destroy its sealing performance. If the surface of the journal is severely blunt due to improper disassembly, it will make the lip of the oil seal and the surface of the journal not fit tightly, resulting in oil leakage. In the above two cases, the welded part can be re-welded to the lathe turning circle according to the specified journal size after welding, or a new shaft can be replaced. If the journal has only metal burrs or shaft burrs, etc., it can be smoothed with a file to prevent damage to the lips of the oil seal when installing the oil seal.


 (2) Check the lip of the oil seal for breaks, cracks or oily corrosion. If these undesirable phenomena occur, a new oil seal should be replaced.


 (3) When installing the skeleton oil seal, in order to prevent the oil seal lip 121 from being damaged by stretching or scratching, a special installation tool must be used. If you do not have this tool, you can use the following method to install: first roll a layer of transparent hard plastic film (commonly known as cellophane) on the journal and even the shaft head, smear a little engine oil on the surface, and wrap the oil seal into the plastic The shaft end of the membrane, evenly push the oil seal to the journal, and then pull out the plastic membrane. Note: The direction of the lips should not be installed in the wrong direction. They should face the inside of the stored oil, and the side with the trademark and specifications should face the outside. Because the lip 1: 3 can only be sealed in one direction, if the oil seal is reversed, it will inevitably cause oil leakage, and the sealing effect will be weakened or invalid. To avoid the oil seal crooked or hammering on the surface of the oil seal with hammers or other tools, otherwise it is easy to cause damage to the oil seal.


 (4) During the installation process, the oil seal (especially the lip area) and the neck area should be kept clean, and be careful not to make the oil seal self-tightening spring jump out of the spring groove. If the self-tightening spring is slack and the elastic force is weakened, it can be cut down according to the situation, and the two ends can be used firmly after being firmly connected.


 Second, the installation precautions of rubber water blocking ring


 The water-blocking ring of the cylinder liner is an "o" shaped rubber piece, and the cross-section is mostly round. Compared with the skeleton oil seal, the structure is simple. There is no skeleton and no self-tightening spring. . Improper installation will cause a large amount of cooling water in the water jacket to penetrate into the crankcase, causing the engine oil to change

The quality and lubrication quality have deteriorated, aggravating the wear of various moving parts of the engine, and even causing major failures such as burning bushes and holding shafts.

 (1) If the water blocking ring is too thin or the water seal groove of the cylinder liner is too deep, the water block ring cannot be higher than the arc surface by a certain height after being installed in the water seal groove of the cylinder liner Wrap a layer of asbestos rope, coated with water-resistant calcium-based grease, and then put the water blocking ring into the water seal groove, and then press the cylinder sleeve into the body seat hole.


 (2) If the water blocking ring is too thick or the water seal groove of the cylinder liner is too shallow, the water blocking ring is too high above the arc surface after installation. At this time, not only the installation of the cylinder liner is difficult, but also the rubber water seal can be broken or even squeezed. For the cylinder liner, the rubber water seal can be evenly polished with emery cloth until it protrudes to a suitable height after being installed in the water seal groove. Then apply grease to the surface of the rubber ring to press the cylinder liner into the body seat hole.

 (3) If the thickness of the water blocking ring is uneven or the depth of the water sealing groove is different, and the unevenness of the rubber ring protrudes after being installed on the cylinder liner, you should carefully check whether the problem is the rubber ring or the water sealing groove Replace the defective parts.


 (4) Before the rubber water blocking ring is inserted into the water seal groove of the cylinder liner, the rubber ring and the water seal groove should be cleaned, and impurities and dirt should not be brought into the installation. After installing the rubber ring on the cylinder liner, carefully check whether it is twisted or not grooved. Before installing the cylinder liner, carefully remove the dirt on the cylinder body and the lower bearing hole, and apply a layer of engine oil on the surface of the lower bearing hole, and then slowly press the cylinder sleeve into the bearing hole.
