1. The connection sequence when charging the battery of electric forklift is:
A first unplug the forklift battery socket,
B connect the battery port (the connection socket of the movable end on the vehicle) with the charger,
C. finally, connect the AC power supply of the charger with the mains AC380V or mains AC220V power supply. Turn on the charging switch and the working light will be on to start charging. When the power is full, the "full indicator light" will be on to indicate full charge.
Note: unplugging the charging plug during charging will produce electric arc. Unplug the plug only after the charger is turned off. After charging, a lot of hydrogen remains around the battery, and no open fire is allowed. Open the cover plate on the battery for charging.
2. The battery shall avoid overcharge and over discharge as far as possible. When the voltage of the single battery drops to 1.70v, it shall be supplemented in time. When the electricity meter shows 70% or less, it is over discharge. Frequent over discharge will affect the capacity of the battery. When the battery over discharge approaches the limit value, the forklift control system will automatically start the protection function. First, limit the operation of the forklift lifting motor, and the traveling motor can still continue to work. At this time, the forklift should drive to the charging area to supplement the power.
3. The battery shall be charged in time after each use, and the maximum time interval shall not exceed 24 hours. 4. When charging the battery, it should be charged in a cool, ventilated environment away from open fire to avoid hydrogen explosion.
5. Prevent power loss storage, which is the most harmful to the battery. Batteries that are not used for a long time must be recharged once a month (ordinary charging method).
6. The battery surface, connecting wires and bolts shall be kept clean and dry.
7. The battery connection must be kept in good contact to avoid spark burning the pole or battery explosion.
8. No harmful impurities shall fall into the battery, and the instruments and tools for measuring the density, temperature and liquid level of electrolyte shall be kept clean.
9. No conductive objects shall be placed on the battery cover to avoid short circuit of the battery.
1、 Daily inspection
1. Liquid level: if the liquid level is lower than the rated level, the service life of the battery will be shortened, and too little electrolyte will lead to heating and damage of the battery. Therefore, we must always pay attention to whether the electrolyte is sufficient.
2. Terminal, wire and cover: always check the corrosion caused by oxidation at the junction of battery terminal and the connection with wire, and check whether the cover is deformed and heated.
3. Appearance: the dirty surface of the battery will cause electric leakage. The surface of the battery should be clean and dry at any time.
2、 Regular maintenance:
Check the liquid level (open the battery cover) and specific gravity of the battery electrolyte every half a month or the whole month. If the liquid level cannot be seen, add distilled water in time until the liquid level can be seen (tap water or mineral water or electrolyte cannot be used). Adjust the specific gravity when it deviates from the specified value.
