1。 Operating environment
This is the primary consideration when purchasing forklift, whether it is outdoor or indoor operation. If the forklift is used outside the warehouse, the internal combustion engine forklift driven by gas, liquid oil or diesel shall be selected; If the forklift mainly works in the outdoor cold environment, the gasoline driven forklift is the most reasonable choice. It is worth noting that the diesel forklift should always be kept in use, and the engine cannot always shut down; If the user starts the forklift every few minutes, it will damage the forklift; In addition, it is suggested that the oil of diesel forklift should be changed regularly.
Another type of forklift is mainly designed for outdoor operation. It is driven by liquid oil, also known as LP, and competes with Gasoline Fueled forklifts. LP forklift is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, because its tail gas is less toxic than gasoline. The fuel cost of LP forklift is almost the same as that of diesel forklift, but the maintenance cost of diesel forklift is less. Under cold service conditions, users sometimes assemble protective covers or heaters for LP forklifts; If this does not guarantee the normal operation of the forklift, it is also easy to convert the LP forklift into a gasoline forklift.
The outdoor environment not only determines the choice of internal combustion engine, but also requires the type of tire used. Pneumatic tires are suitable for rugged ground; Non pneumatic tires are suitable for outdoor flat and hard ground and most indoor occasions.
2. Indoor storage forklift
For indoor handling, such as in the warehouse, electric forklift has more advantages. Compared with internal combustion forklift, its main advantages are low noise and no pollution. Although the price of electric forklift is higher than that of internal combustion forklift, the operation cost is lower. The main reason why electric forklifts save money is that they do not need fuel, oil and components such as plugs and sockets. For the normal life cycle, the maintenance cost of electric forklift is only 2 ~ 6 yuan per hour (a forklift operates in one shift every day and uses about 1700h every year). When using electric forklift, you must always pay attention to the battery condition, check the water level and avoid the battery drying out.
3. Select forklift model
The most important factor in choosing a forklift is to consider its application and the actual situation of the warehouse. If the forklift is used to load and unload trailers, the front wheel drive and seat mounted counterweight forklift are more appropriate. If the forklift is used for shuttle loading and unloading goods to the trailer, one factor to be considered is the problem of "free lifting", that is, the fork can be raised without raising the gantry. The width of the warehouse roadway is another problem that needs to be considered when selecting the forklift. The three wheel drive forklift requires a roadway with a width of 10ft (1ft = 0.304 × 8m), while the four wheel forklift requires more space, which is a roadway with a width of 12 ~ 13ft. In narrower roadways, users prefer the forward moving forklift, which is equipped with an outrigger for retracting the pallet and can operate in a roadway about 8ft wide.
4. Capacity
Factors that must be considered when purchasing forklifts. It is recommended to buy a forklift with a larger capacity than usual. If the pallet load to be handled by the forklift is 900kg, it is more appropriate to choose a forklift with a capacity of 1300kg. When purchasing a forklift for handling combustible or dangerous goods, the user must check its safety level. If the forklift is marked with E, ignition may occur; If the forklift is marked with EE mark, it shall be equipped with more safety devices; The safest level is ex, which means that there are no metal parts causing fire. In short, diesel forklifts are safer than ex forklifts. Diesel forklifts designed for safety are marked with DX logo.
5. Price PK efficiency
Forklift price is only one factor, and the ability of spare parts and maintenance services is as important as the vehicle price itself. It is suggested that users consider the full cost of forklift "life", not just the purchase price.
Most experts are opposed to buying second-hand forklifts, except for spare parts for auxiliary work. If users only need one forklift, they can buy a second-hand forklift, but they must confirm that the quality is qualified,
Therefore, users should consider the efficiency of forklifts, the support of manufacturers and the number of forklifts needed in the future. For smart users, both long-term and short-term benefits should be taken into account.
