Five Methods To Improve The High Stacking Performance Of Forward Moving Forklift

May 25, 2022

The forklift shall be stacked at a high position, especially when the height is greater than 8m. The most appropriate is to use the forward moving forklift. These types of forklifts are designed to accommodate narrow aisles and achieve high lifting heights.

As you can imagine, it is not easy to place or stack pallets safely and smoothly at these heights, which largely depends on the skill of the operator. For this reason, we share some solutions in this article to help our forward forklift accomplish this task and maintain a high level of safety and productivity throughout the shift.

(1) High load visibility

By gaining a clear and unobstructed view throughout the process, you will be able to maintain the highest level of safety for all operators in the workplace. Clearly seeing your load can also increase speed and thus productivity. A clear view of the perimeter and fork tip will minimize damage to goods or shelves, thereby reducing costs. Toyota's forward moving forklift includes a mast with a wide view. You can choose to configure a transparent roof for the forward moving truck.

(2) Forklift operator focus

High stacking throughout the material handling shift can be exhausting. In order to keep the operator focused, forklift manufacturers' forward moving forklifts are generally equipped with inclined cabs. They not only optimize load visibility to speed up processing, but also improve driver position and ergonomics. Combined with the cab and controls designed around the operator, they can enjoy a comfortable driving position, which means reducing fatigue and stress and improving work efficiency after a long day's work.

(3) Higher precision options

The better the view of the fork tip, the faster the load can be placed or picked up. This enables faster loading and unloading of goods and minimizes damage to goods or pallets, thereby minimizing operating costs. Our forward forklifts have a variety of options to help pick up or place loads faster and more efficiently, such as:

-Load weight indicator

-Height indicator

-Height preselector

-Lifting height limit

-Camera on gantry and / or fork

-Cross laser

-Sideshifter, fork positioner and other accessories

-Automatic tilt and fork centering function

-State of the art color display with operating information

(4) Maximize performance

It takes time to lift the cargo and stack at a high place, which may be affected by the swing of the mast or the transition between the free lift and the main lift. The forward forklift is designed to ensure high stability and performance while minimizing gantry swing. After parameterization, some large brands of forward moving forklifts can move smoothly and optimally according to the lifting height and load weight. In addition, the transitional lifting control (TLC) function allows a smooth transition between free lifting and main lifting, providing better ergonomics for the operator, thanks to reduced impact and higher lifting speed to ensure greater stability and safer cargo handling.

(5) Auto stack

Why not consider automatic forward forklift? Repetitive tasks in automated operations, such as goods storage and retrieval, provide a high level of security and accuracy for lean storage. The automatic forward forklift series is equipped with scanners and remote viewing auxiliary loaders to ensure high productivity and minimize damage when handling and transporting loads.
