In the maintenance process of diesel forklift, the engine, as a very important component of internal combustion forklift, undertakes the power source of the whole forklift; Electric forklift is powered by motor. Of course, mechanical operation will inevitably lead to wear, so maintenance is also a regular thing.
How to disassemble and wash the engine
1、 First, remove the engine from the forklift truck. It must be carried out when the engine is completely cooled, otherwise it will cause deformation of some parts.
1. Water is discharged from the engine cooling system, and oil and hydraulic oil are discharged from the engine and hydraulic transmission.
2. Remove the safety shelter and seat, remove the radiator cap, and remove the exhaust pipe muffler.
3. Remove the foot pedal and remove the radiator, exhaust pipe and its accessories.
4. Remove the connectors (hoses, conduits, etc.) between the engine and hydraulic transmission and other systems.
5. Disassemble the connection between the engine and the main drive (universal joint, etc.).
6. Hang the engine on the lifting equipment and unscrew the screw plug bolt connected with the frame.
7. Lift the engine with lifting equipment and place the engine on the bench.
Check for wear
1. First look at the color and quality of the engine oil, whether there are iron chips on the surface, and the viscosity of the engine oil. For example, there are a lot of iron filings in the engine oil, which means that the crankshaft bearing bush or connecting rod bush should be worn, and even the crankshaft is worn. If the machine is very viscous, it means that the oil has not been replaced for a long time.
2. When disassembling the crankshaft of the connecting rod piston, observe the condition of the connecting rod bush and the crank bearing bush. If it is found that the whole connecting rod can not be reused after being ground, if the crankshaft is not seriously ground, it can be reused after shaft grinding.
3. Observe the wear of the cylinder liner and pay attention not to hit the engine body when removing the cylinder liner to prevent damage.
So far, it is the main step of engine maintenance. Although it seems simple, it also needs long-term experience to repair an engine. Any mistake in a small detail will lead to the engine not running normally, so the maintenance of the engine certainly needs experienced personnel to operate, and we must not do it blindly.
