Performance And Precautions Of Brake Fluid For 4WD Forklift Truck

Jun 08, 2022

Castor oil alcohol brake fluid is no longer necessary. Mineral oil brake fluid has gradually stopped using synthetic brake fluid. Synthetic brake fluid is widely used. It is made of ether, alcohol, ester, etc. mixed with additives such as smooth, anti-oxidation, anti rust, anti rubber swelling, etc. it has wide working temperature scale, easy flow under low temperature, sensitive braking, high boiling point, small transpiration loss under high temperature, not easy to produce gas resistance, and low corrosion to metal parts and rubber parts, so it is widely used.

1. requirements for brake fluid function of 4WD forklift truck

(1) Outstanding low temperature function: if the brake fluid has poor fluidity at low temperature and is simply condensed, the pipeline, pump, etc. will be blocked. When braking, the brake pedal will feel very hard and cannot be pressed. Generally, the brake fluid shall not condense at -40 ℃ and flow naturally.

(2) Proper viscosity: if the viscosity is too large, the low-temperature fluidity becomes poor and the braking function decreases; The viscosity is too small to provide reliable smooth and simple leakage in high temperature environment. To ensure that the brake cylinder and rubber cup can slide well, the brake fluid is required to have proper viscosity.

(3) High boiling point: the forklift frequently moves forward and backward in each working cycle, and the brake friction plate is in braking condition for a long time, which increases the temperature of the braking system. If the brake fluid with low boiling point and easy to transpiration is used, the pipes of some braking systems will be filled with brake fluid steam, producing gas resistance, causing braking failure. Therefore, the brake fluid is required to have a high boiling point (the dry boiling point is the boiling point when the brake fluid does not contain water, and the wet boiling point is the boiling point when the brake fluid contains certain water) and a low transpiration to reduce the onset of air resistance.

(4) Good corrosion resistance: in order to ensure that the brake fluid will not corrode metal pipelines and components after long-term use, it is required to add rust inhibitor in the brake fluid.

(5) Outstanding chemical stability: the brake fluid is used at high temperature for a long time, so it is required not to generate thermal differentiation and coincidence to increase the viscosity of the oil, and it is not allowed to generate sludge deposits.

(6) Small impact on rubber: there are many rubber seals in the braking system. In order not to reduce the mechanical strength and elasticity of rubber seals such as brake cups, the brake fluid is required to have a small impact on the expansion rate of rubber, so as to prevent the cups from being immersed in the brake fluid for a long time, resulting in extraordinary changes in strength, volume and quality.

2. precautions for brake fluid application

(1) Pour a small amount of brake fluid on the palm of your hand. The real brake fluid will generally feel a little cold at first, and then feel a little hot after a while, and the brake fluid will not simply volatilize; If you feel that the brake fluid is abnormally cold and will slowly volatilize, it is likely to be a fake brake fluid.

(2) Before changing the brake fluid, it is necessary to clean the oil and soil at the fluid filling port and air release screw of the brake system to prevent impurities from entering. The brake system shall be cleaned according to the rules of the protection manual. It is suggested to clean the brake system with the same type of brake fluid, preferably without alcohol, detergent, etc.

(3) The brake fluid has certain toxicity and cannot be absorbed by mouth.

(4) The brake fluid has a damaging effect on the coating on the body surface, which will cause "paint biting". Therefore, during replacement and filling, be careful not to drop the brake fluid on the coating of the body.

(5) Do not mix with other brake fluids. After mixing, there will be turbidity or deposition, which will not only greatly reduce the function of the original brake fluid, but also the deposited particles will block the pipeline and cause serious consequences of brake failure. Even the brake fluid of the same type with good compatibility cannot be mixed if the brands are different. Because of good miscibility, it only clarifies that there will be no stratification, turbidity and deposition after mixing with other 名媛直播, which does not mean that the function will not change after mixing. The additives of each product are different and there is a relative balance between them. Once other substances are mixed to break the original balance, the original function will be lost. Therefore, when replacing brake fluid of different brands, it is necessary to clean the pipeline with the product to be added.
