The latest data released by the National Energy Administration on November 22 shows that since 2022, China's new energy sources such as wind power and solar power have enjoyed a strong development momentum, and the installed capacity has maintained rapid growth, providing a stronger impetus for China's energy transformation.
According to the data, by the end of October, the total installed capacity of power generation in China was about 2.5 billion kilowatts, up 8.3% year on year. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power and solar power is about 350 million kilowatts and 360 million kilowatts respectively, with year-on-year growth of 16.6% and 29.2% respectively, maintaining rapid growth.
At present, China has a complete new energy industry chain system, and the cost of new energy development and construction is declining. China has entered a new stage of affordable and non subsidized development, realizing the transformation from subsidy driven to market driven.
Since 2022, China has accelerated the construction of large-scale wind power and photovoltaic bases and roof distributed photovoltaic development and construction focusing on desert, gobi and desert regions, and the investment in new energy has been significantly accelerated. From January to October 2022, major power generation enterprises in China invested 157.4 billion yuan in solar power generation construction, an increase of 326.7% year on year.
