Correct Maintenance Method Of Diesel Forklift Clutch

Generally speaking, the release bearing of forklift clutch works frequently, and its damage times account for a large proportion of forklift faults. If the driver operates well and maintains it timely, the bearing can be used for about 3 months, but it must also be replaced during intermediate repair. If the driver's technical level is low, the release bearing of the forklift is damaged almost every month, and other parts will be damaged after the damage, such as release lever and clutch plate.

Why is the clutch release bearing easy to be damaged? In practical experience, although the company once strictly required the driver to drip oil to the release bearing once a day, the operation was not only cumbersome, but also the bearing was often damaged. Through analysis, it is considered that the high temperature of the engine is transmitted to the release bearing, and the high-speed rotation of the bearing will also produce high temperature. Under such conditions, it is difficult for the lubricating oil to remain in the bearing. The bearing works continuously under high temperature, and the release bearing is prone to frequent damage due to poor lubrication conditions.

According to the above problems, we have also tried to heat the bearing in the grease to make the grease soak into the bearing. After such treatment, the grease can fill the bearing, but its performance is greatly reduced due to the damage of the grease structure after high temperature treatment. The effect of this method is not ideal, and the service life of the bearing has not been extended. We also used a sharp nose grease gun to directly grease the release bearing. After installation, the service life of the bearing has been greatly extended. This oil injection method has achieved satisfactory results, but the operation is complex. Then it explored how to add grease without disassembling the engine. First, it was successfully tried on 475c engine, and then on 475c, 480 and 492 engines. Good results were achieved. After repeated practice, improvement and experience summary, a relatively simple oil injection operation method has been finally formed. The specific process is as follows:

1: Oiling method without disassembling the engine: first open the clutch cover and observe the wear of the release bearing. If it is confirmed that the bearing is not damaged or the wear does not exceed the limit, remove the clutch pedal, adjust the connecting rod shaft pin to make the release bearing and its seat return to the final position, use a pointed nozzle grease gun to add grease to the hole of the bearing seat until the bearing overflows, then rotate the bearing slightly, refill the oil, and repeat the above work, Until a little grease overflows around the bearing, rotate the bearing and observe the oil volume. If there is resistance to the rotation of the bearing, it is proved that the bearing is filled with grease. Then remove a small amount of grease from the release bearing seat, and reassemble the removed pins and clutch covers.

2: Oil injection method for engine disassembly disassemble the engine to expose the assembly parts of release bearing and bearing pedestal, use a pointed nose grease gun to add oil to the small oil hole under the inner ring of release bearing pedestal, and the editor tells everyone to turn the bearing when there is grease overflow in the bearing until there is grease overflow in one circle of the bearing.
