On the one hand, the driver needs to pay more attention when driving the excavator to turn. If the track shows signs of preliminary derailment, the track should be jacked up and idled. On the other hand, the frequent derailment of the track also indicates that the chassis itself has problems and needs to be repaired. There are many reasons for excavator deviance, but they can be basically classified into three categories.
1、 Because the four wheels are not in the same plane, the track deviates from the track.
Most of the problems are caused by the idler, because only the idler among the four wheels (idler, roller, drive wheel and carrier roller) can move back and forth. The wear of the moving parts and the central shaft of the idler will cause the idler to swing left and right, causing the track to deviate from the track. This means that the excavator needs to replace the idler.
2、 The track is too loose, causing the track to deviate from the track.
The tightness of the track is adjusted by the guide wheel driven by the tensioning cylinder. The tensioning cylinder is pushed by the grease gun to adjust the tightness of the track. However, in many cases, the tightness of the track cannot be adjusted. For example, 1 If the oil seal of the tension cylinder leaks oil, the track will be too loose and cannot be adjusted, so it is necessary to replace the oil seal of the tension cylinder. 2. oil leakage from the chain breaker will also cause the track to be unable to be adjusted. The chain breaker needs to be replaced. 3. in addition, the broken spring at the tensioner will also cause the track to be too loose. It will be a little difficult to replace this large spring, and professional tools are required. 4. the pin sleeve of the track chain rail is excessively worn or worn out, which increases the total length of the track and also causes the track to be too loose. If the chain rail pin sleeve is not worn through, one track can be cut off. If the pin sleeve of the chain rail is worn out, the pin sleeve of each section must be replaced, but now it seems that few people "press the chain rail" to replace the pin sleeve, and most of them directly replace the chain rail.
3、 The track deviates from the track because the chain guard is worn and does not work.
If you compare the chassis of the excavator with that of the bulldozer, you will find that there are some differences. Even if the track of the bulldozer is very loose, the chain guard of the bulldozer rarely falls off. That is because the chain guard of the bulldozer is a whole block from the drive to the guide wheel, which wraps all the supporting wheels, while the excavator has only two small chain guards, one at the middle supporting wheel and the other at the guide wheel. Once the chain guard is worn, the chain rail is easy to slide outside the chain guard, causing the track to deviate from the track. At this time, it is necessary to repair or replace the chain guard.
