1、 What is the forklift hydraulic pump?
Forklift hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor are energy conversion devices in hydraulic system accessories. The forklift hydraulic pump converts the mechanical energy of the original rotating force into hydraulic energy, which belongs to the forklift power element.
2、 What is the function of forklift hydraulic pump?
The forklift hydraulic motor converts the rotary motion energy into the hydraulic mechanical energy of gear meshing, which is used to drive the actuator of the hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic pumps used in hydraulic transmission all absorb and discharge oil by changing the volume of the sealed working oil chamber, so they are also called positive displacement forklift hydraulic pumps. Forklift hydraulic pump can be divided into blade type, gear type, plunger type and other types. In terms of working principle, the forklift hydraulic pump is irreversible, which is mainly determined by the oil inlet and oil discharge position of the forklift hydraulic pump. Any kind of positive displacement forklift hydraulic pump can be used with hydraulic motor. However, due to the different working conditions, some structural measures have been taken to improve its performance.
3、 Common faults of forklift hydraulic pump
Common faults of forklift hydraulic pump
1. The working oil deteriorates due to dirt:
Dirt will cause wear and corrosion of parts, especially for precision machined parts, which will scratch the inner wall of the rubber tube, oil seal ring and packing. After these things are damaged, more dirt will enter the system, thus forming a vicious cycle of damage.
2. Overheating
Overheating will rapidly oxidize the oil, and the oxidation will release insoluble resins, sludge and acids. These substances accumulate in the oil, causing accelerated wear and corrosion of parts, and their adhesion to the surface of finished parts will also make the parts lose their original functions. The thinning of oil due to overheating will also make the transmission work slower.
3. Incoming air:
In addition to overheating caused by air entering the oil, a considerable amount of air will be dissolved in the oil under pressure. If about 10% of the compressed volume belongs to dissolved air, foam will be formed when the pressure drops. When the working hydraulic cylinder depressurizes and returns oil, the oil with foam will form a "sponge" property. In addition, the oil contains a lot of foam, which will increase the total volume and cause the oil tank or oil reservoir to overflow.
4、 Maintenance method for forklift hydraulic pump failure:
1. Remove the screws on the back cover of the hydraulic pump and remove the back cover;
2. Check the gear and cylinder wall inside for serious wear;
3. Replace the copper strip repair kit in the hydraulic pump, and replace the high-pressure oil seal of the front axle of the hydraulic pump;
4. After the replacement is completed, it shall be reinstalled in the reverse order, and then loaded to test and check the working conditions. It can be used only after it is normal.
