Excavator Boost Control System

May 13, 2020

In order to enable the excavator to obtain greater digging force during operation, a boost circuit is added to the hydraulic system, and a boost switch is provided at the top of the right joystick.

(1) Press the boost switch (IN6), and the signal is input to the controller via the timer (8s) of the control panel switch. The controller sends a 24V electric signal to the solenoid valve to change the direction of the solenoid valve, the pilot pressure oil enters the main relief valve, and the set pressure of the main relief valve rises. After pressing the boost switch for 8s, the system pressure increases. At the same time, the monitor will display the words "increasing digging force". Because the set pressure rise time is 8s, so long press and hold the boost switch, there will be no corresponding effect

(2) When the travel pressure switch is in the ON position, the controller will also output a 24V electrical signal to the solenoid valve and cause the set pressure of the main relief valve to rise. After the pressure rises, the travel pressure switch stays on during the ON position (no time limit), but it is not displayed on the monitor. In this state, press the boost switch again, the monitor will display the words "increasing digging force" within 8s.

When the walking device and bucket (boost switch is in the OFF position) work, you can also use the boost switch to increase the set pressure.

① When the walking device is working, a boosting effect can be generated (at this time the monitor is not displaying).

② When the walking device or the bucket is working, it can also generate a boosting effect. Therefore, if the boosting switch is not pressed, the bucket working pressure will also increase.

③ If the bucket and other accessories are operated independently, the boosting is effective only in H, S, and F modes.
