Failure Analysis Of Black Smoke From Excavator Diesel Engine

Jun 01, 2020

Insufficient fuel supply from diesel pumps is a vicious cycle, and the black smoke in the exhaust is mainly carbon particles that are not completely burned. Therefore, the excessive fuel supply in the fuel supply system, the air volume in the intake system is reduced, the tightness of the combustion chamber composed of the cylinder block, the cylinder head and the piston, and the poor injection quality of the injector will cause the fuel to burn incompletely, thereby causing exhaust Black smoke. There are the following reasons for the black smoke in the exhaust:

1 The oil supply of the high-pressure oil pump is too large or the oil supply of each cylinder is uneven

2 The valve is not tightly sealed, causing air leakage and low compression pressure of the cylinder

3 The air inlet of the air filter is blocked, and the intake resistance is large, making the intake air insufficient

4 cylinder liners, pistons, piston rings are severely worn

5 Injector works badly

6 Engine overload operation

7 The fuel injection advance angle of the fuel injection pump is too small, and the combustion process is moved to the exhaust process

8 Gasoline EFI system control failure failure, etc.

Check and eliminate the engine that emits black smoke through high-pressure fuel pump adjustment, fuel injector injection test inspection, cylinder compression pressure measurement, intake port cleaning, fuel supply advance angle adjustment, and gasoline EFI system fault diagnosis.
