Then in order to reduce the use cost of pavement milling machine and prolong its service life, we should consider the two aspects of scientific and reasonable use and strengthen maintenance in the construction process, and do a good job in the following aspects.
First, rational use of knives.
The greater the depth of milling, the longer the tool is in contact with the material, the more friction and heat. In order to avoid the thermal erosion of the carbide head of the tool, the amount of water sprayed by the cooling cutter head should be increased; when the milling depth is shallow (less than 6cm), the water sprayed by the cooling cutter head should be reduced to facilitate the output of the material and thus avoid the tool The contact of materials under milling reduces the wear of the cutter. Every 6-8 hours of work, you need to check the rotation and wear of the tool to ensure that the installed tool rotates freely in the tool holder.
The cutter should be replaced in time when it is seriously worn. When changing the tool, try to make sure that the tool extends the same length. If the milling cutter has 1/2 worn and needs to be replaced, it is recommended to replace the entire set of cutters, re-assemble the cutters with less severe wear into one set, and continue to use, so as to ensure the quality of road construction and prolong the service life of the cutter.
Second, match the speed reasonably.
The working speed of the road milling machine and the rotor speed are also the main technical performance parameters of the machine. The working speed directly affects the operation productivity of the machine. Due to the influence of the type of pavement material, the strength of the asphalt mixture, the milling depth and the ambient temperature, the working speed is generally designed to be steplessly adjusted to meet the changing requirements of the above working conditions.
For the general asphalt pavement, the relationship between the working speed of the pavement milling machine and the milling depth is shown in Figure 1, and the relationship between the characteristics of the pavement material and the ambient temperature will change.
Third, fully protect the belt.
The receiving belt of the milling machine receives the material from the milling of the cutter. In order to prevent loose materials from causing wear on the belt, to ensure the sealing of the rotor space and to limit the granularity of the milled old material, but also to ensure the reliability of the belt receiving The belt and the belt are protected from additional bumps. Belt boots and graded control beams can be used. Regular inspection and replacement of belt boots and the use of reasonable gradation control schemes can fully protect the belt, reduce belt wear, and form a reliable and stable material collection mechanism.
Fourth, do regular cleaning.
The cleanliness of each system is very important to the reliability of the machine. Some dirty and sharp solid particles are brought into the system. Failures such as friction, clogging, and jamming may occur at any time, and even cause seal leakage The increase in temperature causes a series of vicious chain cycles. Regular cleaning pavement milling machinery is indispensable in normal operation and operation, especially the dirt of some key parts will make the machine unable to work normally. For this reason, the cleaning operation is not only to keep the machine clean and tidy, but also to ensure the safety and normal operation of the machine.
Fifth, strengthen maintenance.
The milling machine has many parts that are fixed with bolts. Due to the continuous vibration and alternating load of the milling machine during operation, some bolts may be loose and must be checked and tightened in time, otherwise oil leakage or air leakage may occur , Water leakage, electricity leakage and other scenes. There are many parts on the road milling machine. The relative relationship and working parameters need to be checked and adjusted in time to ensure the normal operation of the machine, otherwise it may lead to unsafe mechanical work or even an accident. The adjustment contents and parts are as follows: clearance, stroke, angle, pressure, flow, elasticity, and track shift.
