Method For Prolonging Service Life Of Clutch Release Bearing Of Forklift Truck

The release bearing of internal combustion forklift clutch works frequently, and its damage times account for a large proportion of forklift faults. If the driver operates properly and maintains timely, the bearing can be used for about 3 months, but it should also be replaced during intermediate repair. For example, the maintenance cost of the clutch is lower than that of the other parts of the forklift. If the clutch is damaged every month, almost all the other parts of the forklift will be damaged.

What is the reason why the clutch release bearing is easy to be damaged? In practice, although the driver was strictly required to drip oil to the release bearing once a day, the operation is not only cumbersome, but also the bearing is often damaged. The analysis shows that due to the high temperature of the engine transmitted to the release bearing and the high temperature generated by the high-speed rotation of the bearing, it is difficult for the oil to remain in the bearing under this condition. The bearing works continuously under high temperature and the lubrication conditions are not good, which is the reason for frequent damage.

If the grease is used in the bearing after the high temperature treatment, the service life of the bearing will not be greatly reduced because the grease is not soaked in the bearing after the high temperature treatment, but the service life of the bearing will not be greatly reduced. We also used a pointed grease gun to directly inject grease into the release bearing. After installation, the service life of the bearing has been greatly prolonged. This oil injection method has achieved satisfactory results, but the operation is complex. Then it explored how to add butter without disassembling the engine. First, it was successfully tried on 475c engine, and then on 475c, 480 and 492 engines. Good results were obtained. After repeated practice, improvement and summing up experience, a relatively simple oil injection operation method is finally formed. The specific process is as follows:

(l) Oil filling method without disassembly of the engine: first open the clutch cover and observe the wear of the release bearing. If it is confirmed that the bearing is not damaged or the wear does not exceed the limit, remove the clutch pedal, adjust the connecting rod shaft pin to return the release bearing and its seat to the final position, use a pointed nozzle grease gun to fill grease into the hole of the bearing seat until there is oil overflow from the bearing, then rotate the bearing slightly, fill oil again and repeat the above work, Until a little butter overflows around the bearing, rotate the bearing and observe the oil quantity. If there is resistance to the rotation of the bearing, it is proved that the bearing is filled with butter. Then remove a small amount of grease from all parts of the release bearing seat, and reassemble the removed pin and clutch cover.

(2) Oil filling method for engine disassembly disassemble the engine to expose the assembly parts of release bearing and bearing seat, add oil to the small oil hole under the inner ring of release bearing seat with pointed nozzle grease gun, and turn the bearing when there is grease overflow in the bearing until there is grease overflow in one ring of the bearing

After the above two methods, the release bearing can no longer be refueled within half a year. After the trial application of this oil injection method in Hengshui railway station, the mechanical integrity rate has been significantly improved and obvious economic benefits have been obtained. Material cost can be saved; Increase the loading and unloading capacity, and each unit can increase the loading and unloading capacity by 30t per month. This method has also been popularized in other railway stations and achieved ideal results.
