What Are The Precautions For Second-hand Excavator Engine Maintenance?

Jun 02, 2020

(1) Prevent the engine from accelerating immediately after starting. Under normal circumstances, a certain amount of lubricating oil will remain in the bearing, which can be used for lubrication at the engine and idling speed. However, if the engine speed exceeds 1000r/min, there is a need for lubricating oil flow. Lubrication, it takes at least 15~305 to form oil pressure and oil flow in the lubrication system after the engine is started. If it starts with the throttle open, the maximum speed can be reached within 2s, which means that the bearing will be in In the lubricated state, and running at a higher speed, it is easy to cause bearing damage. For this reason, it should be remembered that the throttle must be started when the throttle is in the idle position, that is, the engine speed must not exceed 1000 r/min for at least 30 seconds. If the engine is left for more than two days, in order to provide lubrication for starting, the engine can be turned (cut off the fuel) until the oil pressure is displayed before starting.

(2) Try to avoid the engine working under low speed and heavy load for a long time. The engine works under low speed and heavy load. The bearing will be in the state of boundary lubrication, especially when the engine speed is reduced to the vibration point, due to the effect of vibration waves. The possibility of direct contact is extremely great. For this reason, the low-speed and heavy-load working conditions should be limited to a minimum.

   (3) Regularly check the lubricating oil. If necessary, add or replace the machine. In the process of using the machine, the oil level of the oil pan should be checked in time. If it is insufficient, it should be added.

Check the quality of the lubricating oil. You can observe the lubricating oil on the dipstick with experience to make a rough judgment, that is, at the same time when checking the oil level, make a visual inspection of the lubricating oil quality to determine whether the lubricating oil needs to be replaced.

How to replace the lubricant: Generally, after the engine is turned off, the waste oil is released while hot, and then add new lubricant, preferably combined with oil change to clean the lubrication system once, so that the new lubricant added will not be contaminated.
