The classification of the excavator engine is as follows:
The excavator engine can be subdivided into 2 types according to the different mode of motion: one is to the resurrection plug, the other is the rotary piston type. The resurrection plug engine is often used in the present engineering machinery.
The commonly used reciprocating plug engines in construction machinery can be subdivided into the following:
1 according to the stroke number of the excavator engine, it can be divided into four stroke engines and two stroke engines.
2 according to the number of excavator engine cylinders, it can be divided into single cylinder engine and multi cylinder engine.
3 according to the fuel used for excavator engines, diesel engines, gasoline engines, kerosene engines, special fuel engines (ammonia, natural gas, etc.)
4 according to the ignition mode of the excavator engine: ignition type (carburetor type gasoline engine, electronically controlled injection gasoline engine) and compression ignition machine (diesel engine, multi fuel engine).
5 according to the arrangement of excavator engine cylinders, they are single row (upright type engine, horizontal engine) and double row type (V type engine, opposed type engine).
6 by cooling mode: water-cooled engine and air-cooled engine.
7 in terms of use:
Vehicle engine
Engine for engineering machinery
Marine engine
Traction engine
Motor (fixed type) for generator
8 according to the intake mode:
Supercharged engine
Non turbocharged engine
Now many of the construction machinery are single row, upright, water-cooled, four stroke, and top valve chamber diesel engine.
