If there are vent holes or oil holes on the inner wall of the cylinder barrel, the burrs on the guide cones opened at both ends of the holes should be checked to avoid damage to the seals during installation. Check the corresponding surface of the seal ring contact or friction. If there is a scratch, it must be ground and corrected. Otherwise, even if a new seal is replaced, oil leakage cannot be prevented. When the sealing ring is going to pass through the thread part, you can roll a layer of sealing tape on the thread, apply grease to the tape, and then install it.
(2) When installing seals, use high melting point grease
During the process of disassembling and assembling the hydraulic cylinder, wash the parts with washing oil or gasoline, etc., then blow dry with compressed air, and then apply some grease to the inner surface of the dry cylinder and the seal ring. In this way, not only can the seal ring be easily installed, but also the seal ring can be protected from damage during assembly, and the effect is more significant.
(3) Do not install the wrong seal direction
The installation of the seal is directional. For V-shaped, Y-shaped and other sealing rings, high pressure is generally toward the lip side of the sealing ring. If it is an O-ring, there is no directionality, but. A protective ring should be added behind the ring. . The front of the O-ring is compressed, and the protective ring on the back prevents the O-ring from being deformed or twisted after being compressed.
