Precautions For Use And Maintenance Of Paver

Paver is one of the more widely used road machinery, we will try our best to do good maintenance and maintenance in daily use. So, what aspects need our attention? Let's find out together!


1. Before the operation preparation:


1) Check whether the liquid level of various oils (hydraulic oil, engine oil, lubricating oil and coolant) is normal and whether there is oil leakage, and replenish oil if necessary. If everything is normal, turn the ignition key switch to the routine power-on gear and check whether the instruments and indicators are normal. Any problems found must be ruled out immediately before continuing.


2) Preparations before starting the engine shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of the general operating regulations for diesel engines.


3) Paver adjustment: The tension of the scraper chain conveyor and the height of the lower edge of the screw distributor from the bottom of the screed should be adjusted appropriately. The distance between the screw distributor and the front baffle of the tamper and the front baffle of the screw distributor should be adjusted to be substantially equal. The tamper stroke and its mutual height position with the screed are adjusted according to the reference value. According to the construction technology and quality requirements of the operation project, adjust the paving machine's paving width, paving thickness and arch structure parameters.


①Width adjustment: Assemble the screed according to the requirements, and make the optional screed assembly equal to the left and right width. When installing the screed, place the screed to be assembled on a basic plane for preliminary installation. After installation and adjustment, the distance between the agitator axis and the front baffle of each agitator is the same, the distance between the agitator axis and the front baffle of the screed is the same, the bottom surface of the baffle is at the same level, and then locked. After installation, lift and lock the screed lift cylinder. On the bottom plane of the screed, use a tight cotton thread (12 meters) to check the flatness of the bottom plate. Due to the elastic deformation of the screed under the force of gravity, the camber is deformed and the camber is allowed to be 3-4 cm (as shown in Figure 1) ). After starting paving, calibrate the screed again. The error needs to be detected after paving 10 meters on the paver. If it is to lengthen the edge of the screed, it should first loosen the lower diagonal brace and relax the upper brace to make The oblique support presses down the edge screed, and then paves another 10 meters, and does another inspection until it is leveled. If it is the error of the host's upturning type, you should first loosen the lower diagonal brace and tighten the upper brace. During the adjustment, the adjustment amount should be correctly estimated, and pay attention to the rotation direction of the thread of the brace, and do not reverse it. Generally, the adjustment amount is 1 to 2 mm at a time. After the adjustment is completed, the lock nut of the horizontal lever should be locked. The screed adjusted in this way generally produces an arch with a middle height and low sides on both sides. After the adjustment is completed, the lock nuts of the struts must be locked.


Paving thickness adjustment: The essence of adjusting the paving thickness is to adjust the elevation angle of the screed. The elevation angle adjustment depends on the paving temperature and paving properties (granular composition, particle type). Taking asphalt mixture paving as an example, the scale is usually set: when the layer thickness is less than 10 cm, the scale is 0; the layer thickness is 10 cm-20 cm, the scale is 0.5; the layer thickness exceeds 20 cm, the scale is 1.0. If during the paving process, the thickness of the set pavement (front scale value) is very different from the actual required thickness, the elevation angle of the screed should be adjusted by means of the elevation adjustment mechanism of the ironing device.


Adjustment method: park the paver on the flat ground at the starting point, and pad it with a thickness of 1.15 times the thickness of the compaction. The height of the traction arm is increased to 1.15 times the thickness of the compaction (scale value engraved by the scale), according to the recommended value Or the experience value adjusts the initial elevation angle through the elevation angle adjustment mechanism. as shown in picture 2. In the trial laying stage, the working elevation angle of the screed can be adjusted manually by adjusting the leveling cylinder to adjust the thickness of the paving. When the required value is reached, the automatic leveling device is started to achieve automatic leveling.


②Arching adjustment: The arching adjustment is performed after the width of the screed is assembled, and the arching adjustment mechanism is used to adjust the arching degree of the screed. Its value should be consistent with the requirements of the construction drawing. Adjust the adjustment screw of the drawbar, and pay attention to the direction of the adjustment screw, not reverse. After the adjustment is completed, the lock nuts of the struts must be locked.


③Slope adjustment: Under normal circumstances, the paver uses only one longitudinal reference, and the value of the pavement's slope is controlled by the slope control system (it includes elements such as a slope sensor, slope setter, controller, etc.) . When the straight line is paved, it only needs to be given the design slope value to realize automatic control. If you enter the curve construction, you must carefully operate. According to the requirements of the construction drawings, the operator understands the cross slope value at each standard pile in detail, and calculates the average cross slope variable value for each extended meter between two adjacent piles. The cross slope value of each extended meter section is accurately recorded in the special table as the basis for adjusting the cross slope setter. In this way, a smooth curved surface that meets the requirements of the construction drawing can be exhibited. It is especially reminded that when adjusting the slope of the bend, it must be adjusted slowly according to the drawing 5 meters in advance. When the width of the paving is large (﹥ 6m), due to insufficient lateral rigidity of the screed, it is easy to cause deformation, which reduces the detection and adjustment accuracy of the slope sensor, and it is difficult to spread out a smooth curved surface. For the reference line, use longitudinal sensors on both sides to obtain an ideal rounded surface.


④Adjustment of the height of the screw distributor from the ground: the basic principle of adjustment: the distance between the outer edge of the screw distributor and the front edge of the screed, and the ground should be kept at more than three times the maximum aggregate size of the mixed material. The purpose is Make the mixture have a higher cutting speed and better passability.


ABG423 feeding screw ground height adjustment reference value: high position (50 mm above the median position): suitable for operations with a layer thickness of more than 15 cm. Median (normal): Suitable for 4-15 cm layer thickness. Low position (50 mm below the median position): suitable for layer thickness less than 8 cm, this position is suitable for most working conditions.


⑤Adjustment of the frequency and stroke of the vibrator: The adjustment of the frequency is roughly as follows: low frequency for large strokes and high frequency for small strokes. The surface layer is generally controlled to advance 5mm, and the number of vibrations should not be less than one; the particle size of the paving aggregate is large, and the thick road section uses a large stroke.


⑥ Other gap adjustments: The gap between the ram and the screed is adjusted to 0.5 to 1mm; V?GELE models have a rear row dynamic ramming structure, the bottom of the dynamic ramming should be 2 ~ 2.5mm higher than the screed surface of the screed. For ABG models with a double-row tamper structure, the bottom surface of the tamper should be 0.3 to 0.5 mm lower than the screed surface of the screed or the same as the screed.


4) Install the side baffles on the outer sides of the screed, install the protective plate net above the ram hammer drive shaft, and install the foot pedal equal to the paving wide plate. Check that all safety protection facilities on the paver must be fully equipped and installed.


5) Put the joystick, main drive switch, and electrical switch in the off position, and the hydraulic drive system is in a non-oil supply state.


6) Check and confirm that the track tension is proper, the tire pressure is normal, and the left and right are even.


7) Check and confirm that the screed and vibrator are installed correctly and the heating system is working properly.


8) Check and confirm that the installation of the automatic leveling device is correct, whether the longitudinal inclinometer, transverse inclinometer and transverse setting device are working properly, and the leveling device is in good working condition.


9) Check and confirm that the clutch, transmission chain, and V-belt are properly adjusted. The V-belt should be free of cracks and lines.

10) Start the engine, the engine should run smoothly, no noise, good power performance, and the governor moves accurately.


11) Check and confirm that the operation of the scraper chain conveyor and screw distributor is smooth, without irregular vibration and swing.


12) Check and confirm that the transmission system runs smoothly without any abnormal phenomena such as impact, vibration, creeping, abnormal noise.


13) Check and confirm that the electrical system is working properly, and the pointers and indicators of each instrument are within the normal range.


14) Check and confirm that the operating system is flexible and reliable, and does not violate the card.


15) Preheat the screed before paving the asphalt mixture.


① For electrical heating, always check whether the insulation of the joint is intact to prevent breakdown. Run the engine at the rated speed, turn on the electric heating rod installed on the screed, and start preheating.


②Liquefied gas heating should check whether all gas nozzles are intact.


③ Before paving the asphalt mixture, preheat the screed for about 30 minutes to bring it close to the temperature of the asphalt mixture.

④ Observe the combustion situation during heating. If the flame extinguishes, immediately turn off the liquefied gas cylinder switch, find the cause and eliminate the fault, and re-ignite after the gas is exhausted.


⑤ It is strictly forbidden to spray diesel to clean the transmission parts of the paver during the heating process. It is strictly forbidden to leave the heating device unattended during the heating process.
