Use And Maintenance Of The Rubber Crawler Walking System Of Excavator

Core hints: the use and maintenance of the excavator rubber crawler walking system: the rubber caterpillar has the characteristics of light quality, small vibration, low noise, high adhesion, good ground adaptability and no damage to the pavement. It is especially suitable for construction in the city. The basic structure of rubber track and steel track is the same. It is usually composed of guide wheel, supporting wheel, driving wheel, retaining wheel, track and walking frame.


1. Characteristics of rubber crawler walking system


The rubber track has the characteristics of light weight, small vibration, low noise, high adhesion, good surface adaptability, no damage to the road surface, and so on, especially suitable for urban construction.


The basic structure of the rubber caterpillar and the steel track is the same, and it is usually made up of a guide wheel, a wheel, a driving wheel, a punched wheel, a crawler and a walking frame. The main differences and features are:


(1) rubber track is a continuous caterpillar formed by rubber molding. The heart is reinforced with fabrics and multiple wire ropes, with a lateral puncture and a transmission part inside. The steel transmission parts are embedded in the vulcanized rubber belt. The main parameters of rubber track are pitch, number of joints, track width, pattern pattern, embedded metal parts and so on, as shown in Figure 1.


(2) the driving wheel is installed on the walking decelerator, which is used for winding the track to ensure the mechanical driving operation. The driving wheel of rubber track is convex teeth and the pitch is 128mm. There is bending stress in track work, which will cause fatigue damage of track, so the diameter of driving wheel is not too small.


(3) the wheel, wheel and guide wheel ride on both sides of the caterpillar tooth respectively, pressed on the rubber plane, in order to prevent the cutting of the flange and the serious extrusion of rubber, so the rim is wide: the wheel body is larger because of the higher track teeth, as shown in Figure 2.


2. Main points of use and maintenance


(1) there is a suitable tensioning force. If the tension is too small, the track will fall off easily. If the tension is too high, the track life will be reduced. When checking and adjusting, the height of the walking system should be raised unilaterally. The height should be 10-20mm, as shown in Figure 3. When the tension is small, it can be adjusted through the tension cylinder.


(2) in the course of machine walking, the sharp objects should be avoided so as to avoid scratching the caterpillar and avoid the fast turning on the commercial concrete pavement with high friction coefficient so as to avoid the rubber tear. Under normal circumstances, avoid turning too fast and too fast.


(3) do not cause any corrosive substances such as grease on the tracks. Once found, remove them immediately.


(4) when stored for a long time, it should be placed indoors to avoid sun and rain. The track should be cleaned before storage, so as to extend the service life.


(5) once the driving wheel is worn, it should be replaced in time.
