In the process of using the excavator, the idea is to vary according to the soil quality of different construction sites. Adjusting the track tightness can prolong the service life of the crawler.
The first case: when the construction site is pebbly.
Practice: the caterpillar should be a little loosely tuned.
Advantage: when walking on pebbles, the bending of track boards can be avoided.
The second case: when the soil is soft
Practice: the caterpillar should be slightly loosened
Advantage: tracked and rail links are easily attached to earth to prevent abnormal pressure applied to rail links due to soil adhesion.
The third cases of solid and flat ground
Practice: it is better to make a little tighter of the track.
Advantage: when the loose track is too large, it may cause contact with the rack and damage the rack.
Track adjustment is too tight: if the track is too tight, there will be a decrease in walking speed and walking power. This will not only lead to a decline in efficiency, but also cause abnormal wear due to excessive friction applied to the pins and bushings.
The track is too loose: the track is loosely attached to the driving wheel and the chain wheel, resulting in greater wear or damage. Moreover, when the loose track is too large, it may cause contact with the rack and damage the frame. In this way, even if the lower walking body is strengthened, if the correct adjustment is not made, it will lead to unexpected failure.
