The grader is suitable for constructing roadbeds and pavements, constructing slopes, excavating side ditches, and can also mix pavement mixtures, remove snow, push loose materials, and maintain soil and gravel roads. Let's share how the grader works.
1. Side scraping
The side-moving operation of the scraper is to keep the scraper at a certain rotation angle. During the cutting and soil transportation, the soil flows laterally along the scraper. The larger the rotation angle, the stronger the ability to cut and move the soil. When the scraper moves sideways, care should be taken not to drive the wheels on the stockpile, and materials should flow through the middle or both sides of the wheels. If necessary, the diagonal method can be used to work, so that the materials are farther away from the wheels. The scraping side shifting operation is usually mixed with materials. The materials to be mixed are cut with one end of the scraper and flow out from the other end of the scraper. At this time, it should be noted that the rotation angle of the scraper should be appropriate and have a large shovel angle. However, if the rotation angle is too large, the materials will not get sufficient rolling mixing, which will affect the mixing quality.
When the scraping side shifting operation is used for flattening, it should also pay attention to adopting an appropriate rotation angle, and always ensure that there is a small amount of but sufficient material in front of the scraper, which must have low running resistance and ensure the quality of the flattening.
In the operation of the grader, in addition to using the front or rear wheel steering to operate the machine along the required driving route, it is often necessary to simultaneously control the side shift of the scraper to assist in achieving the trajectory of the scraper. When working on curved roads or irregularly curved sections of the working surface, the steering and the scraper can be moved simultaneously to move along the tortuous boundary flexibly. When an obstacle is encountered on the side, the steering method is generally not used to avoid, but the scraper is retracted sideways, and then the scraper is extended after the obstacle. This type of operation is mainly used for operations such as earth moving and embankment filling, leveling the ground, backfilling ditches and paving bulk materials.
2. Scraping straight
The direct scraping operation is to set the rotation angle of the scraper to 0 °, that is, the axis of the scraper is perpendicular to the driving direction. At this time, the cutting width is the largest, but it can only be operated with a small cutting depth, which is mainly used for paving operations.
3. Scrape outside the machine
When the grader is in operation, the scraper has a certain rotation angle, or the scraper scrapes the side slope outside the machine body, so that the machine is subjected to a lateral force, which often forces the front wheel of the machine to move laterally and deviates from the driving direction, which increases the wear of the tires. , And generate a large torque on the steering pin shaft of the front wheel, so that the resistance of the front wheel to steer (yaw) increases. At this time, the method of tilting the front wheel can be used to avoid it.
4. Oblique operation
Using the features of frame articulation or all-wheel steering, the grader can work diagonally. In many operating situations, oblique operation is required to keep wheels away from the pile and keep the machine more stable.
