Cat 320C Type Excavator Engine Cylinder Check

If the Cat 320C type excavator engine is unstable, the engine is not ignited and the exhaust system is discharged from the black smoke, the following methods are used to check the cylinder of the engine of the excavator respectively.


Cat 320C type excavator engine cylinder check 5 steps:


1, make the engine run at a specific speed, so that it does not ignite or run unstable phenomenon to the greatest extent.


2 then unlock the fuel pipe nut of each cylinder nozzle to prevent the fuel flowing into the engine cylinder. If a fuel nut is loosed, the engine will not fire or run unsteadily. Note that if only one wrench is loosened or tightened, the fuel nozzle will be permanently damaged by the distortion. One wrench fixed the fuel injector and loosened the nut with another spanner.


3 tighten the nut of the fuel tubing.


4 repeat the steps 1~3 for each cylinder in sequence, until you find a nut that loosens but does not affect the engine performance.


5 when finding a cylinder that does not affect engine performance, the fuel injection pump or test nozzle of the cylinder should be tested.


When the engine runs at a low idle speed, the temperature of the exhaust manifold can indicate the status of the nozzle. The temperature of the exhaust manifold is low, indicating that the fuel does not reach the cylinder, which may mean a failure of the nozzle. When the engine runs at a low idle speed, and the exhaust manifold is not very high, there may be excessive fuel flow to the engine cylinder. This may also mean a failure of the nozzle. The most common fault of the nozzle is the plugging of the nozzle or the nozzle hole in the nozzle. The worn particles in the fuel lead to the wear of the nozzle hole and the wear of the wire brush of the nozzle.
