If the control system is not working due to a failure. And the engine speed can not be adjusted by the engine speed knob, you can temporarily adjust the engine speed with the following method.
Check if there is error message in the information display. If the error message is displayed by ECM ERROR, then the electronic controller is defective.
If the engine speed can not be adjusted by the engine speed knob and the indicator of the electronic controller is not lighted.
Note: even if the engine speed is not controlled, the engine start switch can be used to start and stall the engine.
