1. Check
① Run the engine at low idle speed, make the machine move forward the length of the track shoe on the ground, and then slowly stop the machine.
②Place the iron rod on the track shoe between the guide wheel and the first carrier wheel. It is recommended to use angle steel, etc. as the steel rod, because its bending is small.
③ As shown in Figure 2-37, measure the maximum clearance a between the steel rod and the track shoe, the standard clearance should be 10 ~ 30mm
2. Adjustment
If the track shoe tension is incorrect, adjust it as follows.
(1) Increase tension
① As shown in Figure 2-38, fill the grease with a grease gun through the grease nipple.
②To check whether the tension is normal, run the engine at low idle speed, and make the machine travel forward the length of the track shoe on the ground, then slowly stop the machine
③ After adjustment, recheck the track shoe tension as above.
Can be filled with grease, as shown in Figure 2-39, until the dimension b between the guide wheel guide and the end of the track frame becomes 0mm. If the tension is still low, it means that the pin and bush are badly worn. In this case, reverse or replace the pin and bushing.
(2) Reduce tension
① Loosen the valve, drain the grease, and then tighten the valve. Do not loosen the valve more than 1 turn. If the valve is screwed too loose, the high pressure in the valve will cause the valve to spray out.
②To check whether the tension is normal, run the engine at low idle speed, and make the machine run forward the length of the track shoe on the ground, then slowly stop the machine.
③ After adjustment, recheck the track shoe tension as above.
