Excavator Engine Has High Water Temperature And Abnormal Alarm. You Must Have Overlooked The Hoses And Pipes At These Fault Points!

May 08, 2021

When it comes to the high temperature of the diesel engine, no matter what the new master is, it is an instant headache, not only because the fault is like a stubborn disease to destroy everyone, but more importantly, it is very difficult to troubleshoot. Therefore, once there is a high temperature or an abnormal alarm situation, everyone will check the major related components as if they are facing the enemy, and are afraid of neglecting which fault point, but there must be a small key point that many people ignore. It's hoses and pipes.

Inspect hoses and pipes

---daily

---Every 250 hours

Note: The liquid sprayed under working pressure can penetrate the skin. Cause injury!

To avoid injury, use a piece of cardboard to find leaks.

Be careful not to let your hands and body touch the high pressure liquid.

In the event of a safety accident, immediately ask a doctor who has experience in this type of traumatic work to start medical treatment.

All liquids injected into the skin must be removed within a few hours, otherwise it will cause gangrene.

Note: Exposed gear oil and lubricating fluid can cause fire accidents, resulting in personal safety, death and injury!

1. Park the equipment on a firm ground.

Lower the bucket to the road. Drag the main automatic switch lever to the locked position. Turn off the diesel engine. Remove the key from the key power switch.

2. Check if there are missing or loose pipe clamps, twisted hoses, pipes or hoses rubbing against each other, whether the oil cooler is damaged, whether the flange anchor bolts are loose, and whether there is oil leakage.

For the hoses, pipes and control points on the oil cooler shown in the following figure, check for leakage and other damages that will cause leakage. If anything is found to be abnormal, perform disassembly or tightening according to the diagram in Table 1-3.

3. Firmly, repair or replace all loose, damaged or missing pipe clamps, hoses, pipelines, oil coolers and flange anchor bolts.

There is no need to bend or hit the high-pressure pipeline. Never install bent or damaged hoses or pipes.

Summary: The excavator maintenance personnel also want to remind you all of you again. Not all diesel engine temperature alarms under all conditions are caused by very serious faults. In addition, no matter which component of the excavator is high-precision, critical or spare parts, it must not be improvised at the time of disassembly and replacement. Sub-factory parts with unqualified quality must be rejected!
