The engine start of excavator can be divided into three parts: normal startup and cold start and auxiliary line start. The following three precautions are as follows:
1) start under normal conditions.
A confirm that the safety lock lever is in the locked position, and confirm no or obstacles in the surrounding area.
B pull the throttle lever to the middle position between idle speed and high speed.
After inserting the key, C honk the horn to warn the people around the excavator and turn the key to the starting position.
D immediately release the key after the engine is launched, and the key will automatically return to the ON position.
E do not keep the starting motor running 15s or more. If the engine can not start, it will have to wait at least 2min before restarting.
2) start in cold conditions. When it starts in cold winter, the viscosity of the oil increases and the battery performance decreases, so it is difficult to start the engine. The preheating method can be used to start the engine. The steps are as follows.
A first carries out the two steps of a and B in "normal startup".
After inserting the key, B honk the horn to warn the people nearby.
C turn the key to the preheating position, and then turn the key to the starting position after about 30s.
D immediately release the key after starting the engine, and the key will automatically return to the ON position.

F do not keep the starting motor running l5s or more. If the engine can not start, it will have to wait at least 2min before restarting.
G preheating time should not exceed 30s. If the engine is unable to start, turn the key to OFF position and wait for 30s to start up again.
3) start with the auxiliary line.
A when using auxiliary line to start the engine, be careful not to allow the end point of the auxiliary line to contact the machine and avoid the spark. Do not smoke in the battery electrolyte level and don't let the battery electrolyte contact the skin and eyes (with the goggles); the battery power supply connected to the auxiliary line should be connected with the battery with the fault machine. If the voltage is the same, do not start with a high voltage power supply, such as the power of the electric welding machine. Before turning on the auxiliary line, turn off all the lights and accessories switch.
B uses an auxiliary line to start the step. One end of the auxiliary line is connected to the positive pole of the battery with a failure machine, the other end on the normal battery positive pole; the other side of the auxiliary line is connected to the negative electrode of the normal machine, the other end is connected to the machine body and away from the battery; start the failure machine to start. When the auxiliary line is removed, the auxiliary line should be dismantled and the connection between the auxiliary line and the failure machine body should be removed. Then the connection between the auxiliary line and the negative electrode of the normal machine battery should be removed, and then the connection between the other auxiliary line and the normal machine battery positive pole is removed.
