How To Operate The Clutch Of A Wheel Loader?

Sep 09, 2025

The clutch is the core component of the development of small wheel loaders. How should it be operated when starting, and how can the clutch be operated for faster maintenance and application of small loaders? Let me introduce it to you below.

The clutch is one of the easily damaged core components in the foot operated transmission system cutting machine. Proper use and maintenance can increase its service life. If operated incorrectly, it is very easy to cause malfunctions. When using a clutch, considering the continuous wear of parts, especially the wear of the friction plates on the moving plate of the clutch, the clearance between the release rod and the release rolling bearing port will change.

If the gap is communicated, the pedal will not move; If the gap is too small, the separating rolling bearing will rotate from beginning to end with the separating rod and quickly burn or wear out. In addition, in use, due to the different deformations and wear of the three separation levers, they may not be in the same plane perpendicular to the gear shaft, which also leads to incomplete clutch disengagement, difficult shifting, and rapid damage to the transmission gears of the gearbox. Incomplete clutch disengagement can also accelerate the wear of friction plates and reduce the service life of the clutch.

In actual operation of the wheel loader clutch, the separation time should not be too long, generally not exceeding 15-20 seconds; The speed cannot be controlled by using a semi disengaged clutch to prevent rapid wear of the friction plates and separated rolling bearings. At the same time, do not place your foot on the clutch pedal while driving. When disengaging the clutch, the operation should be fast, and the foot pedal should be fully pressed to achieve complete disengagement; When tightly connecting the clutch, the pressure pedal should be slowly released to ensure a gentle and stable tight connection; The maintenance includes cleaning the outer shell, checking and adjusting the separation gap, introducing lubricating grease on time, and cleaning the oil stains in the friction plate if necessary.
