Common Problems And Solutions in Lifting Operations

Sep 11, 2025

1. Tilt of lifting object: During the lifting process, if the object is found to be tilted, the operation should be stopped immediately, the binding should be checked for firmness, the lifting point position should be adjusted to ensure the stability of the object's center of gravity.

2. Damage to lifting equipment: If the lifting equipment is damaged during use, the operation should be stopped immediately, a new lifting equipment should be replaced, and other lifting equipment should be checked for safety and reliability.

3. Crane malfunction: The crane may experience malfunctions during operation, such as engine stalling, hydraulic system leaks, etc. Work should be stopped immediately for troubleshooting and maintenance.

4. High altitude falling objects: During lifting operations, small parts or tools may fall from a high altitude, causing safety hazards. Operators should wear safety helmets and ensure that tools and parts do not fall during the operation process.

5. Personnel operation errors: Operator operation errors may lead to the failure of lifting operations or accidents. We should strengthen safety education and operational skills training for operators to improve their operational level.

6. Impact of bad weather: strong wind, rainstorm and other bad weather will affect the safety of lifting operation. We should closely monitor the weather forecast, arrange the work time reasonably, and avoid lifting in adverse weather conditions.

7. Overloading of lifted objects: If the lifted object is overweight, it may cause the crane to be unable to lift normally or the lifting height to be insufficient. It should be ensured that the weight of the lifted object is within the carrying capacity of the crane.

8. Blocked lifting route: During the lifting process, obstacles or obstructed routes may be encountered. The lifting route should be planned in advance to ensure that the route is unobstructed.

9. Poor communication: During lifting operations, poor communication between the commanding personnel and the crane driver may lead to misoperation. Communication tools such as walkie talkies should be used to ensure smooth communication.

10. Poor implementation of emergency plans: Emergency plans are an important means of responding to emergencies and should be regularly practiced to ensure that they can be quickly and effectively implemented in emergency situations.

Various problems may arise during lifting operations, but as long as we prepare in advance, strengthen safety education and skills training, we can effectively address these issues and ensure the safe and smooth progress of lifting operations.
