How To Measure The Operational Performance Of Kobelco SK130 Excavator Accessories?

Jun 03, 2021

1. Cylinder operating time

Measurement purpose: to measure the operating time of the boom, forearm and bucket to determine the performance between the hydraulic pump and the cylinder of the accessory drive system.

Measurement conditions: The hydraulic oil temperature is 45~55℃, the engine should be idling at high speed, and the operating time outside the buffer stroke should be excluded.

Measurement preparation: Kobelco SK130 excavator should be parked on a level ground and the bucket should be emptied.

Measurement 1: boom up and down.

Hit the boom lever to the full stroke, and measure the required operating time when the bucket moves from the ground surface to its highest position. When lowering the boom, allow the bucket to rest on soft ground or cushions such as rubber tires, and it is strictly forbidden to park the bucket on cement ground or other solid objects.

Measurement 2: Forearm contraction and extension, bucket digging and dumping.

When the half-tooth of the bucket is at a position 30cm above the ground, measure the required full-stroke operation time when the forearm and the bucket lever are at full-stroke.

2. The tightness of the cylinder

Purpose of measurement: To determine whether the cylinder is leaking oil by checking the moving length of the piston rod.

Measurement conditions: The hydraulic oil temperature is 45~55℃, and the excavator should be parked on a flat, level and solid ground during measurement.

[Note] Immediately release the air in the cylinder after replacing the cylinder. This work should be completed before checking the tightness of the cylinder.

Measurement preparation: Keep the end of the bucket 1.5m above the ground and empty the bucket to maximize the contraction of the forearm cylinder.

Measurement: The measurement should be started 5 minutes after the engine is stopped.
