1. Preparation before removal
(1) Release the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank of the Kobelco excavator.
(2) Remove the 6 cap screws M10×20.
(3) Remove the guard.
(4) Take out the suction filter assembly.
(5) Install the suction plug.
(6) Remove the protective device.
①Remove the front and rear 2 protective cap assembly and protective device, panel assembly, inner panel protective device and bracket.
②Remove all parts that hinder the removal of the hydraulic pump.
③Remove the discharge hose located under the muffler.
2. Demolition
(1) Loosen the clamps and fixing screws on the hose, and disconnect the 2 hoses used for conveying.
(2) Remove the suction pipe.
① Remove 4 fixing bolts.
②Remove the elbow of the suction pipe from the pump.
③Remove the suction pipe.
(3) Remove other hoses
①Remove the hose of the port.
②Put a label on the hose for easy identification.
③Insert plugs in the hose and pump.
(4) Remove the connector
Remove all pressure sensors and the 6 connectors of the matching valve.
(5) Remove the main pump.
① Put a steel wire sling on the hydraulic pump, tighten it slightly, and loosen 11 fixing bolts.
② Slowly take out the power output device assembly from the frame of the governor wheel and adjust the tension of the wire rope. At this time, the assembly is taken out and the gasket is still on the side of the governor wheel.
③Remove the attachment from the top of the spline shaft.
④ Loosen the 4 fixing bolts that fasten the gasket and remove them.
⑤Remove the axle.
After unscrewing the two fixing bolts, the axle will fall off the spline shaft of the pump.
⑥Remove the 8 bolts that fasten the gasket to the governor wheel on the engine side, and then remove the gasket and spring pin on the axle.
⑦The bracket is an accessory of the pump.
3. Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.
(1) Install the axle. Put the axle into the spline of the pump until it enters a depth of 5mm from the end face of the spline, then install and tighten two fixing bolts coated with Loctite #262.
(2) Install the spring pin. Install the spring pin into the axle.
(3) Install the gasket. Use bolts coated with Loctite #262 to install the gasket on the axle.
(4) Installation of the pump. Lift the pump together with the bracket, and install the joint into the groove of the component for installing the gasket.
(5) Coat 11 fixing bolts and 1 cap screw with Loctite #262, and install them in place.
(6) Fasten two hoses on the discharge side with pipe clamp clamps and cap screws (M10×35).
